The sticker implies that, unless it's been otherwise updated, 2.80 was fitted. I would suggest that you should fit that rather than 2.86 as this can cause problems with the RT6 unit such as Bluetooth echo. I can supply a link to 2.80 but this is an ISO so you will have to mount this and then transfer the software to a USB drive.

Hello, I'm new here, I've read your topics regarding the Magneti Marelli RT6 car radio. I am having trouble with my SD card and need the RT6 2.8 firmware for my car, a 2014 Citroën C5 III. The issue with the car radio is that it keeps rebooting—roughly every two minutes—though sometimes it works for longer periods. When it is running, everything works normally and all functions are fine. I tried copying the old SD card to a new 16 GB one, but it didn't work; the display remained black.
Please let me know if you know anyone who has the firmware for my RT6 2.8 radio. I am attaching a photo of the radio model.

How did you copy the old SD card to the new one? If you just used Windows then this won't work as there are partitions on the SD card that Windows doesn't understand. You need to use a program that can work with these partitions. I used program called Minitool Partition Wizard to copy the old card to a new one but there are others.

The other thing you can do, especially when the radio is behaving, is to copy the configuration to a USB drive using MiraScripts. If you can successfully do this it will save you grief later on.

Hi Paul, we’ve been communicating via private messages so far. Thanks for your help. As you suggested, I’m continuing the conversation here. My car radio is a Magneti Marelli RT6 2.8 -RNEG2-CEM00. I inserted a new 16GB SD card into the unit and started the firmware update (RT6 2.8 ISO) that I got from you, which I had loaded onto a USB drive. After a few minutes of installation, an error occurred, and the system got stuck in a loop, constantly restarting with the "RC Media checking..." message.I stopped the loading process and am now repeating it. I found information online suggesting that the content of the files I prepared is incorrect. I am attaching an image showing what the contents of my USB drive look like before loading (blue image) . I was advised that it should look like this (white image) and that I need version RT6 2.86; could this be the reason the transfer stopped? I would appreciate your opinion. t is possible that I did something wrong myself, or perhaps the files on the USB drive I prepared for my RT6 2 car radio aren't the right ones.

Your blue screenshot looks OK to me. The only thing I would say is that your computer isn't set up to view file extensions.

Open up a folder and then click on Tools. From the drop down menu choose Folder options. A new window then opens up. Click on the middle tab View. About the eighth button down is Hide extensions for known file types, untick the box.

You might also consider the Hidden files and folders option and change it to Show. It's not necessary for this but I find it annoying that the computer thinks I'm incapable of being careful!
