Peugeot 508 RXH Motorized tailgate not working

Hello to you all!

I am new on this forum and I am hoping that I could find some help in order to solve the problem which I encountered on my Peugeot 508 RXH, 2017, BlueHdi 180hp.
I've read all the forums I could reach in searching for a solution, but so far no luck.

For almost two months I’ve been trying to figure out what happened with my motorized tailgate as it stopped working after a visit on the local dealer. It simply doesn’t lift up nor close on any of the 3 buttons commands (cabin, key, tailgate). It releases the tailgate, but that's it.
From time to time it beeps twice, similar to detecting an obstacle (as far as I learned from other people), but that's all.

So far I tried the following:

1. Went back to the local dealer for a diagnose of the problem and no fault was present on the Motorized Boot Unit. Due to that, they recommended to replace the strouts, based on TSB: C5DW011JQ0. They did the replacement of both strouts, but the problem was still there. I refused the repair and requested the old parts back on my car. After that, they suggested to replace the motor of the motorized tailgate. But of course, I refused this operation as I lost my confidence in them.

2. Searched for another electrician, which used to work at the mentioned dealer, and verified the cables reaching the electric motor of the tailgate (+/-/ground). There is power reaching the ECU. Also while pressing the button, I can hear some relay activating inside the ECU. Therefore, this guy recommended to buy a second hand motor with ECU and see if it works. I bought it, mounted it, but unfortunately didn’t work either.

What I observed so far:
- actuator tests performed with lexia and diagbox are working, except lifting and closing the tailgate
- the red light on the tailgate button is not on.
- while trying to erase the programming, it sets "Learning not performed" for a short period of time, then it jumps directly into "Learning in progress"
- tried to program the ECU, but there is no change from previously set "Learning in progress"
- while checking the Standard parameters on the unit, I can see that the module is "Not Authorized" (I cannot recall for sure how that parameter is called).
- not sure if it matters, but it worth's mentioning - I get an intermittent Vehicle Speed Information Fault on the parking assistance module - I cleared it and tried the above steps - still no luck

I honestly started to think that the local dealer somehow corrupted my BSI...

Anyway, if any of you could support solving this issue, it would be really much appreciated.

P.S. I also have a Lexia with Diagbox 9.186 and I was able to try programming/actuator tests.

Can't really help, but have you tried a full BSI reset, sometimes just clearing all dormant faults can fix little gremlins.

I tried BSI reset, but also without any outcome.

Did you ever get sorted with this tailgate problem? II have the exact same problem now. Is there a fix? Thank you.
