Advice on peugeot AppleCar play install pls

Unread post by Begbie+ »

Hi,
Firstly sorry if this is an obvious one, and I’m just being slow or not looking in the right places,
I’m based in Glasgow, currently about to get my first works van, a Peugeot partner and it doesn’t come with Apple car play, it is a 2020 plate and it has the infotainment touch screen.

I’ve seen online it’s not available to buy the upgrade from Peugeot anymore, I’ve also seen some things about “diag boxes”.

So really I’m just wondering what you guys would advise for me to do?
Deal without it, get a new touch screen with Apple car play or “diag box” person?

I’m getting it in a weeks time hopefully🤞and it would be ideal to have an install scheduled for the day of or after I’ve picked it up, as it’s rlly useful going from job to job.

Thanks

It is not wise to make any suggestions without the full details of the van as per: :)

Make/Model
Year
Engine type
Gearbox type
Body style
LHD or RHD
RPO number which can be found on the tyre pressure sticker on the door pillar, post a picture of the sticker if you are not sure.
Whether the vehicle has Electronic Stability Control or not
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Being a 1.5 hdi I would make sure it has been dealer serviced at the correct intervals since it should then have an extended manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years. It may also need to continue with dealer services. This is due to early failures of the cam shaft chain. It should also have had a recall MXL to check the engine noise and change the oil and filter to the latest oil spec or if bad to fit new cam shafts/chain.
