VinNumber and parts

Unread post by aideCat10 »

New to the site and New to ‘2010 1.6 vtr hdi Citroen Berlingo multispace boot jump ownership’, so thought apart from the obvious benefits of hooking up with ‘those that know’ i already have the need for what i’ve discovered is the much maligned ‘BSI’ part number! Of which i have it down to 2 contenders! Have a BSI/ECU/KEY Coder etc sorted! and read somewhere (but lost the thread) theres a way of becoming an enhanced member on here that gives access to a the mother of all parts lists!
Can anbody tell me if thats still a thing and how to sign up? Be very much appreciated

Becoming a member involves making a donation of at least £10 by using the donations button at the top left of the page. However we have currently lost our access to the live Stellantis database so we can only offer parts and diagram information for vehicles up to 2012 which does not require a donation although any donations are gratefully received and we do hope to restore the full parts service eventually. Also there are members with their own access to the current system and often one of them will help out.

For the information I can access, I need to know the following details about your vehicle:

Make/Model
Year
Engine type
Gearbox type
Body style
LHD or RHD
RPO number which can be found on the tyre pressure sticker on the door pillar, post a picture of the sticker if you are not sure.
Whether the vehicle has Electronic Stability Control or not

Given that information I can access the Citroen Servicebox and Sedre backup systems for vehicles up to 2012 and copy from there. :)

If you post the VIN number it will be masked from public view and only legible to forum staff. :)

Hi Mick i’ve just donated. Did it through my official name
aideCat10 would have looked a little strange and it asked for the official ID name?

With appreciation, i’ll go through the list you mentioned in reference to aquiring the part number for a replacement BSI and will include the Vin number at the end!

1/. Citroen berlingo multispace
Model D.:3 code on V5doc is: up
BERLINGO M-SP VTR HDI 75
(Theres also two variant numbers on V5 which may help??? Variant:7J9HT* version: 7J9HTC)
2/Year: First registration on 25/05/2010
3/ Engine: Diesel 1560cc VTR 1.6HDI 75hp
4/ Gear box type: Manual 5 gear
5/ Body style: MPV (multispace)
6/ RHD
7/ RPO number (think i’m right on this🤔) : 12205FV
8/No Electronic Stability buttons /Acr /Esp on show (its a vtr but a low spec version)
VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Flippin heck my head hurts! Like i said a learning a curve, and am beginning to appreciate how much info is needed for the pro’s and enthusiasts to break through the perimeter fencing of the parts suppliers!

Thanks again Mick for the help, or anyone else that chooses to accept this mission! 😬

aideCat10, if you look at your details on this thread you will see (under your Forum name) the line (Donor 2026), which means your donation has been recognised.

Any helps appreciated! Simple change of battery seems to have set it off! I followed it to the letter as best as could, baring in mind the negative terminal buried at the back and wiring loom on top! There was no sparks flying, just that sinking feeling when the anti theft immobilser sign flashed up and nothing!!! Then tried the recommended fix’s, still nothing! Same for the AA and the Auto locksmith who delivered the bad news! Sure you’ve heard this a 1,000 times!
Never realised nailing down part numbers would be so difficult! As a young lad i turned down a job as a trainee parts apprentice! Boy how i regret that now! 🤦‍♂️i’ll leave it to those that know!

I am sorry to say I have been unsuccessful in tracking down the part number you need. I am not too experienced on the system yet and it may be there but I haven't found it. Hopefully one of the more experienced members will be able to find it for you. If so I would appreciate them telling me where it was found! :)

Hi all, i’ve managed to get the glove compartment panel off and access the BSI have the label of the part was wondering if any of you folk know of a supplier. Remanufactured part maybe? Two main numbers on the label are:
96 640 587 80 02
BSI04EV K01-00 050410

Does this above look about right? Any more info would be appreciated Can’t say i’m keen to take the bsi off myself so once i’ve got the part will use an auto locksmith to fit and re-code with ECU and keys
