2017-2024 C3 Help with removal of Blower Resistor

I'm trying to remove the Heater Blower Resistor in my wife's 2023 C3 (1.2 PureTech 110 Plus 5dr EAT6) Automatic. I believe this C3 version was introduced in 2017 so hoping someone has experienced this issue with an older car than mine.

The blower has stopped working. I have checked the 40A fuse, which seems fine, and I can't see any issues with the wiring. The touchscreen display screen allows changes in fan speed but doesn't have any effect on the dribble of air that comes out. So my next step is to check the Heater Blower Resistor.

I've located the Resistor in the passenger side footwell and tried to remove it to inspect it (or replace it). I have managed to get it loose and can get it part way out but can't get it far enough out to remove it completely. The pipes, bodywork and black plastic (see picture below) are in the way.

Am I missing a trick, do I have to remove the pipes?

I'm afraid I can't find any information for that job on such a new car so I can't help. Hopefully someone else with the right knowledge will see your post and help out. Good luck

Being less than 3 years old it will be covered by the warranty so I would take it to a Citroen dealer to be repaired at their cost.

Thanks. This is the first time in many years that we've bought a car that is still covered by it's warranty so I didn't even think about that!

I'll get in touch with a Citroen dealer and find out if they'll do this under the warranty.

Ok, I've been in touch with my local Citroen dealer.
The earliest that they can look at the car is 3 weeks away, so I've booked it in to be checked under the warranty. The dealer also can guarantee that it will be eligible for repair under the warranty until they've seen the car! In the meantime though, my wife is not happy with driving the car in the current rainy, cold conditions because it's difficult to keep the windscreen clear.

So, I believe this C3 version was first introduced in 2017 and I'm hoping someone out there has experienced this blower issue with an older car than our 2023. If so, I may just go ahead and fix it myself.

Our Cactus blower stopped working and a new resistor fixed it. Part cost (not from a Citroen dealer) was over £100 plus fitting. I did not buy a cheap Chinese part since these may not work. It looks as if used ones may be available for your car, as an example but you would need to make sure it was the correct one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395834662623 If you buy one it may become more obvious how to remove the old one.

If you do fix it yourself then your dealer would not cover it under the warranty if it goes again. They usually keep parts replaced under warranty so you might fix it yourself, then fit the old part back and have the dealer then fix it again with a new one.

Bizarrely, the blower fan has come back to life again! I haven't touched anything in the past 3 days so it's not because of anything I've done.
This is the second time this has happened in the past 4 months! And I have read a post somewhere from someone else who reported this.
