Upgraded from RD4 to RD45. TA not working?

Peugeot 308 sw 2009 ew10a 2.0 engine.

I recently upgraded from RD4 to RD45, got a new display also, i finally have bluetooth music and handsfree calls. But i cant seem to get TA (Traffic announcements to work). Using diagbox 7.40, i checked the region which was China, the only i could change to was:
China
Japan
South America
USA
Other Contries

Since i live in Sweden i choosed other countries, i have double checked that everything with TA is enabled in diagbox, TA worked perfectly with the old RD4 Radio, any ideas? The new RD45 radio only has a "mute" button and not a TA button. Thanks!

I would suggest you contact the seller and ask them to confirm that the unit is equipped for TA to save yourself hunting

As far as I know, none of the countries in the list use the European TA broadcast system, and it is likely that it was deleted to make space for the Chinese language in the software package.

Already did before buying. RDS and TA should be supported

That's too bad.. Is there a way around this? Firmware flash of the radio or do i have to find a "oem" rd45? Thanks.

I don't know, but I don't think that changing the "territory" would be a supported option because it is probably tied into the radio.calibration which is probably not updated with the firmware.

Mentioned it on another thread, I really think these Chinese units don't have the TA function in them, as the Chinese use fulltime dedicated FM stations to broadcast traffic announcements.

However, my brief dabbling with a Chinese RD45 didn't yield much, so I quickly abandoned it. I only bought it because it was £9.

I had a similar experience with a Chinese RD45. The seller mentioned TA in the item description and specifications, but when it arrived it wasn’t possible to get it working. I had a conversation with the seller and he tried to convince me it would work by changing region etc, but I tried all different settings with Diagbox. I came to conclusion that these sellers don’t know how TA works in Europe, of course they work with the Chinese TA-system, but these Chinese units simply lack the functions to make it work here in Europe. My best tip is try to return or sell that unit and get a proper European RD45 from eBay seller, https://www.b-parts.com/ or https://rrr.lt/en

That's pretty much it - the Chinese simply don't use TA, which is a feature of RDS that retunes your radio for the duration of the traffic announcement.

They want to hear traffic news, they tune into Shenzen Traffic 106.2, or whatever their local station is. RDS just isn't widely used in China.
