I have a Peugeot 508 (2011 model) equipped with RT6 navigation system.
I have some issues with Bluetooth Audio Streaming. The phone connects initially, but after a short while, I start experiencing significant audio lag. The delay between pressing "Next Track" and the actual response grows progressively worse (up to 10 seconds), and eventually, the system disconnects the phone entirely.
My current firmware version is quite old: RNEG2.21.A.1.
My questions are:
1. Could the old Firmware version be the cause of the streaming lag and disconnecting I'm experiencing?
2. Is there a specific incremental update path I should follow from 2.21 (e.g., install 2.70 first), or can I jump straight to 2.80? Also I heard that usually after these big jumps on firmware version, you have to do a system calibration that is usually done at the dealership or using mirascript, could anyone provide some more details if mirascript can actually do this for me without going to the dealership and paying a bunch to do the calibration?
3. Do you guys have a working download link for the firmware versions i need (2.70 or 2.80, depending on the update path i should take)
Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Have you tested this with a different phone in order to determine which end of the link is playing up, ie the car or the phone ?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Yes with my old iphone 12 which had an outdated ios 16. I tried with a new iphone 16 with the latest ios 26.2, and with an android phone. The android is the most stable but it too disconnects after a couple of minutes.mickthemaverick wrote: 05 Feb 2026, 12:40 Have you tested this with a different phone in order to determine which end of the link is playing up, ie the car or the phone ?![]()

Updating the firmware could solve this problem but it might be that your RT6 is failing internally. See this post for relevant information about problems with updating and what I am able to provide.

Ill try it out, on the chart you mentioned it looks like I'm going to need to backup with Mirascript. Do you have the zip for 2.80 by any chance?

I think they're all ZIPs but 2.80 contains an ISO rather than files to directly load onto a pen drive.

Well if it resets the calibration and user settings anyway should i just go with the latest one 2.86? Where do I find a download link for it?

I will send you a link, check your PM shortly. Don't forget to use Mirascripts to download your current configuration first.

Re: Peugeot 508 RT6 - Severe Bluetooth Streaming Lag & Disconnects - Upgrade from RNEG2.21
The firmware update was successful and stable; all system settings and maps remained intact, and Bluetooth streaming is now fully functional. The only issue is the expected 'echo' during calls, which often occurs when jumping from older versions like 2.21 to 2.86. I attempted to resolve this via MiraScripts (RT6_Settings and RT6_Configflag), but neither script offered options for echo cancellation or mic gain adjustments. While I am aware a dealership calibration would fix this, I rarely use Bluetooth calls and would prefer a DIY home solution if one exists, rather than paying a hefty price at the dealership. Any advice is appreciated and thanks to everyone that helped me with the firmware update!

Did you download the configuration before updating? Has uploading this configuration not fixed this?
