Hi I got peugeot boxer 2018 HDI 130 Ithink engine type DW10FUD get lot of conflict between 0w30 and 5w30 most oil sites state 5w30 on oil ref page on here it seems to be 0w30 psa 2312 vin code VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

To get the latest oil spec you might need to visit a Peugeot dealer and ask for a printout of the service schedule using your VIN. Oil specs can change based on experience/engine problems so getting the latest one is worthwhile. The oil reference topic on here is no longer being updated after the site lost access to Stellantis data/procedures/parts diagrams.

This, 100%. FWIW, personally I'd not run anything less than 10W30 providing it otherwise meets the specifications. Obviously not a recommendation since it varies from what the manufacturer calls for but I can only see benefits from running something with at least some kind of viscosity.

Stelantis issued a recommendation for oils in July 2024. Even then, the recommendation for this engine was only 0W30 Oil B71 2312. I don't believe that anything was changed for that engine, which otherwise had no problems. Although I would still use 5W30 Oil B71 2290.
