Hi,
I'm about to replace the right side engine mounts (upper and lower) on my C5 MY2013 2.2 HDi but the lower one seems to be very hard to find, regarding the part number.
According to my repair manual the number is 1844 E4, but that one is very rare/out of stock everywhere. The one mounted on the car right now has the number 9685847080, which seems to be an OEM No. as well.
In some web shops 9685847080 is together with alternative OEM Nos. like 1839 J9, 9670282280 and 86945E01 but according to other web shops e.g. 1839 J9, 9670282280 are only for the 2.0 HDi.
Does anyone know if the mounts actually are different? To me they all look identical despite the different numbers.
/Björn

The only help I can give you is to show you the page with part numbers for your car, item 34 I believe:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Thank you!mickthemaverick wrote: 06 Oct 2025, 18:00 The only help I can give you is to show you the page with part numbers for your car, item 34 I believe:
C5 (X7) - 0610 01 348060A - FIXING POWER UNIT.pdf
Although I figure it's more like item 22, but that one doesn't look at all as the one I just demounted.

Hello, I have the exact same one installed as in the diagram, number 22, but the car vibrates. Could you take a picture of exactly what you removed?

Hi, I'm in same dilema but only for my Peugeot 508 2.2HDI, they have same mounts.
Did you maybe replace it with engine mount for 2.0HDI, does it fit and does it work well?

I'm on vacation right now but I'll try to take a pic when I have the possibility. Although, I replaced a lot of stuff at the same time (timing belt, water pump, oil cooler, diesel filter + +) and removed "everything" up there and used an engine support bar. I don't remember right now which parts I would have had to remove to only change part "22". I also replaced the other engine mount, part number 5 in the diagram.
Before I replaced the engine mounts I had pretty significant engine movement but it's totally gone now, and no vibrations whatsoever.

yes I took a chance and ordered the engine mount specified for the 2.0 HDi, with part number 1839 J9 in the shop I ordered from, and it's identical to the old one in my car, and works like a charm! On the package at arrival it was a sticker with "Fiat" and some model I don't remember right now on it so it seems this mount is the same for several makes and models.
As I wrote in my previous post, before I replaced the engine mounts I had pretty significant engine movement but that is totally gone now, and no vibrations whatsoever.

I also changed other mounts, they were in really bad shape, but this one was problematic to find, OEM is really expensive and still long waiting time.
I will tomorrow order 2.0 one.

It's so strange why it's not clear that the same thing works for both 2.0 and 2.2.robertel99 wrote: 05 May 2026, 19:48 you are a lifesaver, i ve been searching for the 1844 one everywhere, main dealer quoted me 300 euros for the part PLUS 2 weeks waiting
I don't know if there's a difference on the "inside" of the mounts, like different build-up of the rubber, different density or whatever. But what I do know, is that the one for the 2.0 fits very well on my 2.2.
Since the change I've been driving back and forth between Sweden and Spain, in total 10 000 km, and it's still working perfectly!
