Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
It's not a straw bale, it's a hay bale.... and they're bees doing what bees sometimes do.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
That was a memorable battle for me too Mick working out that clue, but I got an assist from the ither couch! The bale although in the pic is very probably straw, is for clue purposes a more nourishing animal feed.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Top one - it's a dark pool designed for fun.
Second one - I originally thought it was a town made of beeswax, but apparently it's made of honey.
Third one - if you mean the hay bale with the bees attacking it......
Fourth one - which one ? There's 3 stations in that picture. Lemmings at the top, a bovine crossing some water, and a group of women not talking to one of them

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Its the Lemmings and the cow in the last one, I got the isolated lady. Thinking about those now. Not cracked the Knight and tower bridge or the hay bees yet.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
It's not a cow, it's a type of cow more used to ploughting in the olden days.
It's not a knight, it's a bit more senior than that.... and he's obviously unhappy. I'm not aware that the bridge is a specific clue on its own, but it does tell you where the unhappy chappy is.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
All a bit cryptic.
Anyway, you all fail as there was only ten minutes to complete the quiz.

I can claim I got the first 17 in 10 minutes on the phone in bed last night!! Does that count for anything?

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
It took me a lot less than 10 minutes to type in the answers. Does that count ?
