ds7 crossback various electrical glitches

Unread post by Captain Pugwash »

Hi all,
Just had this second hand 2019 for just about a month. Fine when I first had it but it's now developed some strange electrical issues.
First, getting dashboard warning of monitoring radar fault, swiftly followed by lane departure fault. When that appears and if it happens to be raining, then the auto wipers go full speed, even if the rain stops. Then the front parking sensors don't seem to detect anything. I'm hoping these are all somehow connected.
If it helps, the garage I bought it from did fit a new battery as stop/start wasn't working.
If the car needs diagbox to reset the errors, any friendly faces in the Dudley or Wolverhampton area might want to help out a fellow DS driver?

TIA all, and hoping to see some inspiration soon.

The first thing I'd do is a BSI reset following the procedure in the link below. Once done, a decent diagnostic scan with Diagbox might throw up some fault codes to give you some ideas.: :)

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

If you bought it from a garage a month ago then surely you should be taking it back to them to be looked at under the warranty. If you start messing about then you could invalidate the warranty.

Not sure about the wipers (check if the windscreen is clean) but the others are probably all related to the front sensors.

The garage are happy to pay for any warranty work as they're some distance from me. It's due into a local garage today so I'll mention the bsi reset before they scan.

Let you know how it goes. Thnx

So, had a scan and it comes back with the following codes:

U1F00 Event Not Recorded Fault
B1004 Fault ECU Internal
B117F Multifunction Video Camera Image Sensor Fault

0D80 GSM Module Internal Fault - Not Characterized - Local

B1576 Secure Configuration Of The Multifunction Touch Screen Calibration Missing

U1108-87 Absence Of Communication On The CAN With The Engine management ECU Missing Information

Any advice as to how to maybe correct as the internet is not helping. Seems to be very sparse information about the DS7

There is a DS dealer in Erdington so you may be best to go to them. https://www.stellantisandyou.co.uk/ds-birmingham-north

Yeah, I know about them but the earliest diagnostic date they can give me is 11th May, which is then outside of the dealer warranty. Was hoping to maybe get some advice on other things to try.
