The world can boast an astonishing number of virtuoso musicians and and equally vast range of singers, but in my experience it is rare to find a complete master of their instrument with a big enough voice to actually enhance their performance. For me this is one such case: :-D

This ties my last post on here with the one on the PE Video Show quite well:

If you like Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler you may have seen this live performance of Sultans of Swing at The Alchemy but if not it is, for me at least, a phenomenal performance making all the other versions I've seen or heard over the years seem ordinary. If you don't like him don't bother, but if you do this is a real treat!!

A cover version that I wasn't aware of of that classic Manilow song 'Mandy'.... which in itself was a slightly altered version of the song 'Brandy' by Scott English from 1971.

:-D

It might put a smile on one or two faces, but it does show how unreliable AI generated content can be as the piano in it seems to be missing parts at odd times

Who'd have thought my two favourite instruments could blend together so well?

Just heard this on Radio Caroline. It certainly resonated with me.

As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

The last of the Walker Brothers Gary Walker (Leeds) left us on Sunday March 1st.

Playing this now is so different from my recollection of years ago on a transistor radio.
Piped through a decent stereo now.
