How do you get information messages back on multifunction display

Hiya,
I have revived my 2013 308 RT6 back to 2.80 after the dreaded black screen and constant CD eject noise cycle. Version 2.80 works fine, as well as the 2020 maps and alerts.

My issue now, and it is not critical, but I used to get warning and information messages popping up on the multifunction display and now I do not. I still get the exclamation mark on the orange dash matrix display. When either there was danger of ice, or when I pressed the rear child lock button, it would splash a message on the radio fold-up display.

Is this something that can be done with Mirascripts, does it need the Diagbox cabling/laptop kit, or can this only be sorted at the dealer?
