Citroen DS3 1.6 eHDI clutch + flywheel

Hi all,

Currently doing a clutch and flywheel on a DS3 1.6eHDI 92 2011 plate. Believed these cars were fitted with DMF as these were the only parts that showed up when on GSF/Euros. However when getting the gearbox off there was a SMF from factory (clear this has never been replaced) however I’m struggling finding a SMF + clutch kit for these.

I can find DMF conversion kits but not sure if they’ll fit and Citroen have quoted £780 for a SMF.

Just a thought. Perhaps there is some confusion between the eHDi and BlueHDi? Or maybe the lower power version had an SMF and the DMF was fitted to the higher power engine only?

I’ve found some valeo kits that may fit but they come all the way from Italy and ideally need the car back on the road by the end of this week.

If the Citroen quote included the flywheel part number you could search on that. In the past when I have replaced clutches the original single flywheel was in good condition so no need to replace it. Only if the clutch has worn too far and damaged the flywheel it would be replaced so usually only a clutch kit needed.

Flywheel isn’t horrendous but was thinking of doing it whilst am there, has some scoring but not the worst. I’ll attach a photo later let me know what you think as this is the first clutch I’ve done
