Hello everyone,
As a 5008 owner who recently struggled with swapping my original NG4 unit for an RT6 from a C4 Picasso, I’ve come to a clear conclusion: resources for repairing aging PSA head units are becoming increasingly difficult to find (dead links, scattered firmware versions, etc.).
I would like to launch a community project (a dedicated website) to:
1) Centralize "clean" disk images (.img) of internal SD cards for RT6 (and other units), categorized by car brand, model, head unit type, firmware version, and so on.
2) Provide simplified tutorials for cloning and partitioning (many people get stuck when it comes to SD card partitions, creating MiraScript USB drives, etc.).
Follow-up question: I am also working on a small tool (a Python script or a simple web interface) that would automatically generate a "plug-and-play" USB drive to change the head unit's VIN. You simply enter your VIN, the tool prepares the necessary MiraScript files, and you just have to plug it into the car.
- Does this kind of platform seem useful to you today?
- Would you be willing to contribute by sending "dumps" of your working SD cards?
- Do you think automating the VIN change via a script adds real value, or is "raw" MiraScript enough in your opinion?
I look forward to reading your thoughts and advice!

Hello and welcome to the FCF, I can offer nothing to help here but I hope those that can, do and you are able to develop the resource.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
