Hi All - I have a 5008 2L Diesel, and for some time have had issues with the RT6 radio corrupting and then triggering U1118, and having to reset it using the CD (then restorng using Mirascript) - Recently this happened 2 days before the MOT, and the Radio would not re-install (it just got into a loop and got very hot) - The failure of the RT6 triggers the MIL light (U1118), so this became a panic as the MOT was due on the Monday and the MIL light is a fail, so after reading a few posts I attempted to use Diagbox to tell the car the RT6 was not present, to hopefully get through an MOT.
This was not succesfull (probably my incompetence to be honest) so (I think) I reset everything that I changed, however it is possible I changed something without writing it down.
I then tried a final go at re-installing the RT6 (the night before the MOT and it worked, however the MIL triggers again after 3 starts.
I can now see another error of F023 "no communication with multifunction display ecu or telematics system" and I have noted that if I try and run the diagnostics from the small LCD screen in the instrument cluster, it won't run the normal diagnostics. - The F023seems to then trigger the U1118, and then turns the MIL light on.
I've done some Google and ChatGPT searches, and the majority of answers point to a corrupted instrument cluster, however I'm also aware that I've been "messing" in the BSI settings, and wonder if I could have changes something, forgot to write it down, and then not changed it back again.
Can any of the systems experts suggest a setting that could trigger F023, or am i better just paying a dealer to relaod the factory defualts?
Cheers, Ian

Re: 2015 5008 - RT6 issue and possible and config error
Unfortunately this may be too late but for other members reading this thread it is a reality to be remembered. If you are looking at the configuration screens in Diagbox make it a habit to screenshot every screen before you alter anything!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
