Hi all,
Could really do with some help/advice. we spent two years converting our van and after 3 weeks of use the engine gave up back in May.
A garage in the south of France has replaced the engine but has not been able to start the van except once where it cut out almost instantly back in July.
They worked out the ECU was not communicating with the engine after this and sent off to repair (not sure what was done) but still didn't work and the original ECU is not readable on the bench also.
There is now a new ECU (second hand) where a different specialist has virginize it and re programmed it however its still not starting. He was getting error codes related to the key coding and successfully recoded the key but again this did not work.
The starter is engaging but on the software its showing immobilizer not authorized says the BSI and ECU are synched and that the ECU is blocking it from starting.
He is using a Autel IM608 Pro and is now saying our only option is to install a emulator to bypass the immobilizer, this doesn't sound right that on a brand new engine rebuild with a reprogrammed ECU that he can get the immobilizer to be authorized to let the van start.
Its been 8 months now and we feel so close but still so far, any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Harry

There are a number of members with No start issues at the moment. If you use the forum search box above (click on Peugeot first and then search) and enter '2.0 HDI no start' it will bring up a fair few threads , some of which may give you fresh ideas. Good luck
