Fitment of Replacement windsreen

Has anyone had problems with alignment of replacement windscreens? Mine seems to protrude slightly at the top of the windscreen, and the near side seems to protrude more than the off side. Every other xantia I have looked at seems to fit snuggly to the bodywork. My last windscreen did leak water during a downpour, but the new one (although badly fitted) does not. The car is a '96 diesel estatate.
