Christmas in hospital

Unread post by Paul-R »

I spent Christmas in hospital this year, which came as rather a surprise to me. I'd frequently made comments to the staff about being invited to the staff Christmas party considering how much time I've spent here and I suppose this was my comeuppance.

Anyway, it's not been too bad here and the staff really go out of their way to make things as good as they can possibly be.

Christmas Day morning here this is what greeted me.

As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.

Here's hoping all is now good Paul :) My eldest, who's a nurse, always worked the Christmas shifts before she became a mum and just like yours, her and her staff always made it special for the patients

Later on that morning before lunch the Salvation Army came visiting the wards here. It made me feel quite emotional.
