Peugeot 508 THP Poor Acceleration

Hello everyone, I’m having an issue with my 2013 508 THP 156HP

I’m experiencing a lag on uphill acceleration it sputters as from 2700rpm and its slow to get to 4500rpm. Uphill it can even jump down gear to 4th.

Here is a picture of the turbo glowing red after a simple uphill climb of less than 10 minutes. The thing there is no error code or engine light coming on. No oil leak, spark plugs new. No coolant consumption. Oil level is good.

Only visible issue is an exhaust leak on the turbo exhaust side.

What could be the issue?

Does this fault occur on the flat when you switch in the aircon pump?

I suspect that the car may have a blocked catalytic converter, as this would also explain the exhaust leak at the turbo.
