She does say that "The wonky bridge crosses the Salmon River, which separates the Connecticut towns of East Hampton and Colchester."

Had to look that up and:-

Geographical Locations: Many states have a Madison County, including:
Iowa: Known for the "Bridges of Madison County" and its rural landscape.

New York: A predominantly rural and agricultural county in the central part of the state.

Alabama: Huntsville is the county seat and largest city in Alabama, located in Madison County.

Indiana: A county included in the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson Metropolitan Statistical Area, with the county seat in Anderson.

Illinois: A county that became industrialized in the late 19th century and was known for heavy industries like steel mills and oil refineries.

And:-
The Bridges of Madison County: This is the title of a 1992 novel by Robert James Waller and a 1995 film adaptation starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. The film was shot in Madison County, Iowa, and the story is set there.

Embarrassingly enough I think I have found it and it is ¼ mile from where we first lived in Washington and I will have walked over it numerous times.

Will have to have a look and confirm when I get my car back.

Wonder why it was designed and built like that?

I seem to recall there's a similar one over the M4 near Swindon...

I'll have to have a look but think it may be due to limited space between the road and the now defunct railway line.
That line is now the path you ran from Barley Mow to Washington Jim.

Edit: Wrong again :(

Heather Mills (Mrs McCartney) grew up in one of the houses on the lower right.

Edit 2: called round that way after retrieving my car, nowhere close to it to park and it looked to be undergoing a bit of tarting up.

When I saw that Gibbo I thought 'Now where does that remind me of?' A few minutes pondering and I remembered the Old Bridge between Hunstanton and Godmanchester:

Possibly the same designer? :-D

And that in turn reminded me of the Old Dee Bridge, Chester.

It also reminds me of a causeway somewhere near to Donnington but I can't for the life of me find it on Google Maps.

It was Swarkestone Causeway. Not really like the bridges at all but still interesting.

There's this one too on the same stretch of the River Tame in Birmingham.
