Where to locate the relay for the ABS pump.

Unread post by djurhuus »

Dear fellow members

Diagbox tells me that I have some problem with my ABS and one of the codes I have seen is C1381 00 - of cause I also have seen all other codes regarding faulty ABS like handbrake, ABS-sensors ex. - you properly know them all :-)
My Citroën C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 BlueHDI 150 Aut. 2016 have been by my mechanics and told me that my ABS pump are properly the one which gives me all the error codes.
But in Denmark this will alone cost at least EUR 2000,- for the ABS-pump alone + the cost for the mechanics - so it's quite expensive.
Then I know that another possibility could be the relay for the ABS-pump - and if my relay have some defect diodes then the cost will be another ballgame than to replace the ABS-pump which maybe I working as suppose to do.

My problem is to locate the relay (Omron fuel relay 240107?) for the ABS-pump and also the ABS-pump itself on a Citroën C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 BlueHDI 150 Aut. 2016?

Can this relay be bought as new spareparts og do I have to repair the old relay and solder some new diodes in?

Kind regards

Don't replace the pump yet!

The Omron 240107 twin-relay is NOT integrated with the ABS pump. It's a seperate device. On a B9 Berlingo, it's riveted onto the front of the plastic case for the engine bay fuse\relay board. It's a really obvious looking device, eg, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/316121194752

I would recommend you read this thread - https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-26291.html This thread contains tests for both the relay and the wiring. As fitted to a Berlingo.

It also used to be used as a fuel pump relay on, iirc, Vauxhalls.
