Hi, I know the post is few years old, but still have hope that you still making those pipes, I need a very small pipe and I am unable to find it in Spain. It's just the metal parts. It was fixed in the past and the last owner decided to cut the pipe and replaced just the damage length. Are you able to do it for me?.

Re: C5 X7 rear hydraulic pipe-hose stainless substitute
Interesting topic. Two years ago I also replaced the rear hydraulic pipe on my C5 X7 HDi 2.0. I bought this pipe from a craftsman as well; he manufactures them himself on a machine. During use, I have not encountered any problems.
In addition, I do not use LDS hydraulic fluid because of its very high price. Instead, I use hydraulic fluid intended for construction machinery. The condition is that its viscosity and other parameters must be close to the original fluid.
I have also been driving with this fluid for two years. The car has been used in temperatures from -35°C to +42°C. I have also made long-distance trips, driving 8 to 12 hours a day for three days, including a trip to the Black Sea. Everything has been trouble-free.
I will add photos and the description from our local craftsman, but please do not consider this advertising, as I am not providing any contact details. My message is aimed at reducing doubts and fears about using non-factory-made parts, assemblies, or fluids for a car in situations where the original parts are unavailable or excessively expensive, provided that they are not critical to safety.
One of the key conditions for such “replacements” is understanding how the part or system works.

“These pipes are also suitable for regions where temperatures below -30°C are common. This is an exclusive solution: a special Italian hose that does not harden down to -55°C and does not crack in extreme temperatures.
Before buying from other sellers, ask them what you should do if the old seal, the metal-rubber washer, starts leaking. Citroën does not sell these washers separately, and it is impossible to order them. Your used washer has already been compressed, and it can also be damaged during removal, especially if the nut is stuck and has to be heated with a torch. Also ask how the NBR rubber ring used in their pipes differs from the green fluoroelastomer seal used in the original pipe.
I designed this pipe with the possibility of a conical seal using a copper sleeve. This is only possible thanks to ultra-precise manufacturing of the fitting, accurate to one hundredth of a millimeter, on a Swiss Schaublin lathe, while maintaining the required cone angle.
In other words, if your old factory seal starts leaking, the kit includes a special washer. By replacing it, you solve the problem.
The pipe fittings are machined from stainless steel with a wall thickness of 3 mm. The connection accuracy to the hydraulic strut is 0.01 mm, which is one hundredth of a millimeter. The high-pressure hydraulic hose is a high-quality Italian hose, and all sealing rings are made of fluoroelastomer.
The pipes come with a one-year warranty and installation instructions.
I have been working as a hydraulic specialist at a Citroën service center for more than 10 years. I also own a 2002 Citroën C5 and a 2009 Citroën C6. This pipe is made by a hydraulic specialist.”
