What are "Systematic tasks" in the service plan?

Unread post by sneakyfox »

In the official service plan for my peugeot boxer they list a number of specific things that needs doing, but it also says that "systematic tasks" should be done every two years / 20.000 km.

What exactly do they mean by this?

I assume it's something that is not specified on the list, but could it be only oil + filter change?

Here is the full list:

2 years/50.000 Maintenance: Systematic tasks
2 years/50.000 Replacement of the cabin air filter
2 years/50.000 pH check of the coolant
2 years Replacement of the brake fluid
4 years/50.000 Replacement of the fuel filter
4 years/50.000 Replacement of the air filter
100.000 Check of the additive level for the particulate filter
10 years/150.000 Replacement of the engine timing kit and the coolant pump
10 years/150.000 Replacement of the accessory drive belt kit
150.000 Check for clogging of the particulate filter

I can't say I know what they mean by that but a read through this website may help you: https://club.autodoc.co.uk/manuals/main ... geot/boxer :)

Thanks for that plan - although it does not leave me less confused that it suggests different intervals :D

Still curious what Peugeot means by systematic checks.

It might mean checking things such as the brake pads and disks, bushes, drop links, ball joints and so on. Parts that will inevitably wear out but they wear differently depending on how the vehicle is driven.

This site gives a list of the operations carried out by Peugeot in their servicing and they seem to refer to them as 'Systematic Operations' https://www.peugeot.ie/owners/maintain- ... rhaul.html :)

Systematic tasks are changing the oil and its filter plus having a look around at stuff. If you have adblue that is often a separate task.
