anyone know why some gti's wont start somtimes when the engines hot???

I'm sure someone will say I'm totally wrong but my theory has always been that the engine senses the heat and so doesn't supply as much fuel as when you start the engine from cold. That's certainly how it was with my old 1.6 Carburetor 405 with a dodgy automatic choke.

Had same problem with 405 and problem was dodgy auto choke thermostat, bought new one and had no problem after that. Not expensive to give it a go!
