5008 (2014) radio multimedia parking sensor issue

The radio and the pop up multimedia screen have stopped working in my wife’s 5008. Also the parking sensors have stopped working too. The radio is also now making a noise like it is trying to eject a CD, but there is no CD actually in the CD slot. There is no SD card slot on the radio. I have checked the fuse F8, which was fine but I changed anyway, and also checked F12, that is the supply for F35, and it was fine. I’ve also disconnected the battery to see if that resets it, but no joy. After searching the net, I have bought a replacement screen, as that seemed to be an issue for a couple of owners. That screen was seen working, and I plugged that into the back of the radio, but it does not come on, although the screen does lift up automatically. Any suggestions as to what could be the issue before I buy a replacement radio, as I am wondering if that is the issue? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

When you say you have disconnected the battery, did you follow the correct procedure as in the following link?

Issue now resolved. It was a faulty RT6 head unit (radio). The multimedia screen, parking sensors and rear camera all plug into the back of the radio. I found Magpie Autos magpieautos.com who offer a repair service for this issue. Sent it off for repair and it was back to me within 4 working days, fully repaired with 12 month guarantee and the satnav maps updated to the latest version. I highly recommend them if you need similar repaired.
