Have you checked that it is not just a problem with the boot switch? Maybe try bypassing it?

With the boot open close its lock around a screwdriver to see if it is the lock or the boot not fully closing - on our Cactus the tailgate seal sometimes comes off a bit and stops it closing fully enough.

Have you checked if the inside lights are turned off on the switch ?

I have tried bypassing the switch by shorting cable 6283 to ground. Ive also tested the actual microswitch itself and it seems to be working fine. The cable from the rear pillar to the lock itself is also fine.

I wanted to ideally test the route from the rear pillar directly to the bsi but so far not had any luck finding the cable in the front of the car

Some more information. After using diagbox the bsi thinks all doors are open not just the boot. Also the hazard light switch is broken

Fake a door closed condition with the doors open using a screwdriver to flick the latch. If it then locks, try each door at a time to narrow it down.

Notice the BX is still top the list but sadly gone

Ive tried that still nothing, my assumption currently is one of the bsi wire has either broken or a ground somewhere is broken.

Does anyone happen to have any diagram I can use i have the one from haynes but is not great
