rearview mirror/window control unit failure

Unread post by mrlord25 »

Hello everyone, I'm Marco, writing from Italy. For some time now, I've been unable to adjust the passenger-side mirror, and the power seat memory doesn't work either. The mirrors fold in, but the driver's mirror adjusts. After various diagnostics, I purchased a rearview mirror/window adjustment control unit (located in the driver's door). The spare part is used and has the same number as the original one installed on the car, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. Thinking the part was faulty, I purchased a new, non-original one in Poland, but it doesn't work either. At this point, I suspect the part needs to be coded somehow. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.
The part number on the original part is: 96654965ZD (465) sw6.01 hw6.05,
the car's VIN is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Hello Marco and :welc:
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
