Hello.
Some time ago, I bought a lightly damaged Peugeot 508 e-HDI (SW) from the year 2011.
Unfortunately, some time after the accident someone stole the engine ECU from the car.
Now I need to get the car running. What are my best options? I have a used engine ECU I got from a junkyard with matching part number. What is the best way to code this used ECU with my car?
I'm also thinking about those "immo delete chip" (Julie and the like). Would these work in my case? I've got some soldering experience as well as access to various OBD2 Scantools (including Diagbox), so installing them wouldn't be that much of a problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd fit the ecu in and run a global scan with diagbox and see what comes up. You have to start somewhere!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Found out this kind of ECU doesn't actually store mileage/km data, so no danger of it increasing car mileage.mickthemaverick wrote: 25 Nov 2025, 22:08 I'd fit the ecu in and run a global scan with diagbox and see what comes up. You have to start somewhere!!![]()
Fitted a Julie PSA emulator and now car starts everytime!
