Swap LED for lamp for halogen?

Hi all

2015 DS5 1.6 diesel: mine has the discharge headlamps with turn function, and LED fog lamps/corner lights.

The nearside fog lamp isn’t working. A replacement unit is around £110, but the equivalent halogen units are about half this.

Is it worth investing 110 quid on one lamp? Or can the halogen unit just be a straight fit ? Or is the electronic brain going to fry if the voltages are different ?

I'm afraid I can't help with this with any factual information but as an engineer I would think it unlikely that you could make that exchange easily as the different types will require different suppliy power and you may damage something. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
