Pick up points for front parking sensor.
Does any one have information on the pick up points for front parking sensors.
Im looking for Speedometer signal, +ve, reverse, radio mute.
The intructions that come with the device say what each wire is for but not where to connect to
Emails to Meta system either dont get there or are not replyed to!

What actual device are you trying to install?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: C3 Mk2 1.6 Hdi Blue
We had a 2010 C3 and the Citroen dealer fit front parking sensors when we bought it at 3 years old. It was a kit and it only seemed to have an on/off switch so nothing like a factory fit system when a car was built.

Without seeing your instructions, I would guess at the following:
I would guess out of the wires you only need the +ve supply to be ignition controlled and the reverse is probably the earth connection to switch it on when used as reversing sensors - you will not want it to be the reverse switch as you will want it to be on all the time when going forward so just needs to be connected to earth. The radio mute I would not bother with in case it interferes with the car systems and the speedo connection again I would think is not needed unless you are planning on driving at speed close to things in front and do not want the warning.

Re: C3 Mk2 1.6 Hdi Blue
by default the system switches off after 20 secs, the speed detector is set at about 30 kmph and switches the unit on when below that speed for front use.
for some reason I have not yet determined the reverse is needed for the front detection, and is permanantly tied to positive when used in the reverse mode.
So I still need to find out where the vehicle speed sensor can be picked up.

I would try asking the supplier for information again and let them know you are going to return it. Then get a simpler one that probably just needs a positive and earth supply and you could put a switch on the positive supply if you decide not to use it. The speed might be taken from the wheel abs sensors but if you tie in to these it might upset something.
