CHINA TAKES OVER PEUGEOT

Unread post by Huskyxantia »

Yes its true China now have full hold on the whole parts market for psa
A second cousin of mine whom has worked for the group for 19 yrs quit the company because of the way its going . The are going to kill off psa and push there cheap crap to this country, if you have a true citroen or peugeot hold on to it for dear life , but don't trust the parts for being reliable they won't be
Husky. :? Thinking outside of the box is better than sitting in a dark one.

Who knows, maybe it will happen to them like with Volvo. Volvo prospered when the Chinese took them over.

The overall problem is China is taking over the world and everyone is letting it happen. A brother worked at a company making large electrical motors and many were going to China. In time the Chinese bought the company and later closed it as they started making them in China.

Maybe they'll restart production of the C3 Picasso [-o<

I, for one, would be very happy if they did

For now, I'll be keeping hold of mine and looking after it :)

Seems it could be a mopping up of what we know , for the cheep (not what id consider cheep 18K upwards) throw away cars. Not wanting to step into politics as im sick of that lot , there's no way who's in power are going to stop this , when I was told this yesterday I was in shock. For someone to come out of a Job for that ammount of time is bad and you know its going to get worse , the way the company is going was there main reason for going , not only that psa have been laying staff off all over at an alarming rate too, my relative said its a major push toward electric.
My concern is will it effect this place ? I hope not its been a big help to me for a long time and I home a lot more years to come .

There's a lot that's wrong with that video. Right at the very beginning, on the frontal view why does the name read CARR and why is there a second, larger, oval Ford badge on the grill that doesn't appear in any other front shot? Once you notice that other things start to jar.

The view of the engine bay is ridiculous. There appear to be twelve tubes involved with the the induction and nothing for the exhaust. There's a strange logo on the LH front wing between the wheel and the door and then doesn't appear again.

The narration is AI generated as well. Who pronounces 'LED lights' as 'lead lights'? Everyone I know says 'ell ee dee'.

I could go on. It's just another example of AI crap. Quite like one of the name changes on the bonnet appears to spell out at times.

Something to consider is that, once Japan recovered from WWII, they initially copied Western technologies, and did not always do a good job of it. Once they got their quality issues sorted out they started to come up with products of their own designs. Now Japan is considered to be a country that manufactures high quality products. It is possible that China is in the early stages of the same process (and China are coming up with some clever innovations).

There's been a fair few parts I've purchased over the past couple of years that have been terrible , My friend who is a mechanic self employed told me of the brand name boxes with cheap Chinese parts in and the brand company was involved too. As for this Ai thing its dangerous, ive seen real pictures of the re worked ford's and ive seen a capri 3 weeks ago big giant yellow thing whizzing past me on the M23 doing just over 100 mph it was , it was a moment you look at your speed and think ive been caught doing 32 in a 30 zone and them idiots doing 100mph never seem to get caught.

I see on the news last week that the Chinese government are going to make manufacturers buy export licences to try and address the stigma of cheap Chinese rubbish. The licences will be quality related.
