Tea tastes best when served in a Xantia Activa mug 8-)

Now here's a question - would you be more likely to spill the tea whilst being driven 'enthusiastically' in an Activa....... or a more conventional Xantia ? :-k :-D

Jim and I drove up to Darlington today to see if we could help Gary (Skull) out with his diesel trouble. After a rather ineffective session we left Gary to investigate further as reported elsewhere and headed off to our hotel. In that situation I tend to feel a bit inadequate and my fears were confirmed when after arriving at our hotel I was given my room key: :(

Ahh now I can answer that from personal experience ;) When my girls were little we went for a MaccyDs. Unbeknownst to me, one of my girls left a half full cup of fizzy drink resting on the 'transmission tunnel' in the rear of the Activa I had at the time. The top of the tunnel is flat so it could reast there quite happily.

I only found the cup when I got home. Still upright and not a drop spilled :)

How time flies - yesterday my eldest celebrated her 33rd birthday :-D

One amusing thing I forgot to mention: Is this down to brilliant planning or a lucky plumber? :-D

I fear SWMBO is weakening with regard to our self invited guest. I came down from bed this morning and wondered why the kitchen door was closed, I soon found out:

Having the hole lets anyone see if the toilet is in use so the user would not be knocked off if the door is opened. Another bodge would be to turn the door 180° so hinged on the toilet side of the frame or rotate it upside down if the paint is different colours on each side.

Our early snowdrops, typically 2nd week of January, appeared 2 weeks ago. Really strange year.

Anyway, today I took a very poorly friend and aircraft fan for a treat day out at the Shuttleworth Collection. Some very early aircraft and a few cars including this Peugeot. French so OK to share with FCF.

But later in Hanger 4 there was a Lysander and Citroen Traction Avant side by side. No display board as they are moving things around so can't tell if it an onze or a quinze (please reply if you can tell). Really top notch condition, I doubt they were ever this shiny even factory-fresh.
