How long has it been missing? The indicator noise on both my C5 and 308 occasionally disappears and then reappears a few days later without me doing anything. It happened on the 308 about a month ago and I really can't remember when it had previously gone missing. Possibly a year, eighteen months?

Its been missing since I brought the car. So around 10 mouths. Its not intermit, its just does not work. Along with any other warnings. I was thinking the garage I purchase it (now shut down) from disabled it so I could not hear the warnings. I have gone through the settings with my Diagbox but can't find anything.

There's a speaker in the column control unit - not unknown for them to give up. No parts available officially, so it's a new one, but it may be replaceable if you're handy!

Thanks RichardW

I will take the Comms unit apart and see if I can solder a new speaker in.

UPDATE:

The unit does have a detachable mini speaker. The speaker is quite buried and a few bits need to be disconnected, Airbag, Steering wheel, gear module, paddles etc. Took about 2 hours. The speaker is not soldered but is on spring connectors and easily pops out once discounted. Replacement speakers are hard to find so I brought a standard 8 ohm mini speaker for £3. It now works like a dream.
