2012 Citroen relay, imobiliser fault

Hi everyone, not much of a writer h*Wever , I have a citren relay 2012 i've just fitted a new engine to it.As the bottom end had gone on the old one, however, since fitting, the new engine, the imobiliser keeps disabling the vehicle if you drive for 20 minutes or so, you have no issue, however, when you come to a stop, the engine will cut out. When you attempt to start it again, it will not turn over you need to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and then reconnect, and it will start. However, it is a continuous cycle. Has anybody got any advice? It would really be apreciated

I think you need to get a diagbox on it and see what is going on. It may be a part of your new installation needs configuring in the ECU and logically it could be something to do with the immobiliser or it could be something else. A diagnosis is the way to go.

What makes you think this is immobiliser related?

The immo system will not cause the engine to cut out, it only prevents initial starting.
This vehicle will also still crank if the immobliser is active, it just wont fire up.

Hi there, a little more context, the first time this happened the imobiliser light came on, every other time it has not. It doesn't cut out when driving at a normal speed but will only cut out when coming to a rolling stop ie slow speeds. Then will not fire unless I disconnect battery for 15 minutes. I hope this helps in you helping me
