Good afternoon!
The garage has diagnosed a faulty BPGA (they have called it Battery Protection Module - which I suppose is the same) on my 2016 Peugeot 308 SW GT Line, and I’ve been quoted a high amount just for the unit fit + coding/‐programming. Before I commit, I’m trying to find out whether the reprogramming/coding is always required or whether in some cases the new BPGA can just be fitted and goes straight in. As I've read that this is not always required?
Does the BPGA replacement on the 2016 308 SW GT Line require re‑programming/coding/adaptation of the module (or other ECU’s) after fitting?
Or can it simply be dropped in and used without further programming?
VIN number: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thank you in advance!

You can safely post your VIN in full and the forum software will obscure it so that only staff have access to read it.
I don't know if the BPGA requires programming in (I suspect not but others may know for sure) but posting your VIN might help if it does.
