And just in case anyone was wondering; today I finally found the French phrase of that puzzling achronyme (AFIL) that was bugging me since beginning of the project!
Logically, it's "Alerte de Franchissement Involontaire de Ligne".
Maybe about time I started learning French...

:rofl2:

"Unintentional Line Crossing Alert"

You could of asked - basically Lane Departure Warning System or "Système d'avertissement de sortie de voie"

Same thing, but I'm glad your OCD levels are back to normal after finding it out! :-D

Yeah, I know what it does and how it is called in Englih or by other car makes, but this "AFIL" was doing my head in.
Finally, OCD levels in green again!

good morning, I'm trying to activate the rain sensor on my peugeot 208 2024 active model which doesn't have one, I bought the original NEW compatible spare part, I attached it to the glass without problem and to the already existing wiring, then with the coding tools I activated the 236D rain / light sensor zone in bsi on the network but I encountered several problems, first of all the rain sensor doesn't seem to work because when I activate the automatic windshield wipers by lowering the lever on the steering wheel, the windshield wipers are activated with a random stroke every 10 seconds even if the windscreen is dry and if I try to throw water on it nothing changes and it remains every 10 seconds (as if the sensor were not working but it is connected because it is detected in the network with serial number etc.) the second problem that appears to me is that the automatic lights that I already had are completely blocked thanks to the twilight sensor on the dashboard, it is as if the rain sensor took control of the automatic lights but not when it works it always leaves them on with the low beams, I hope I have explained my situation well and that someone can help me resolve it

I’ve seen your question on VLud’s page, but unfortunately I’m unable to help you.
I think your 208 (from 2024) is “too new” and different to these cars that have NAC infotainment.
Yours being 2024 will be equipped with Iris IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment) system and that one, to the best of my knowledge, can’t be accessed / modified with VLud’s Arduino sketch…

I’m assuming all this since you didn’t mention what’s your infotainment system nor the tool you’ve modified zone 236D with…

Last, but maybe important; when I was adding CMV camera to my DS5 (2015), in offline telecoding (with Diagbox) I left rain sensor “present” (on LIN network) although it was physically removed and replaced with multifunctional camera that incorporates both light and rain sensors (those 2 existing wires were attached to camera, plus added 2 new ones)…

That way everything worked fine (camera, auto lights and auto wipers)…

Hello, greetings from a DS5 owner in Malaysia! I found your post while searching on Google and was surprised to see someone already did the same idea — really amazing!

Your sharing is very detailed, and anyone with the right skills could definitely follow it. Sadly, I’m not that skilled, haha — as we say here, “the eyes got it, but the hands havent.”

Still, thank you for sharing so openly. Your DIY spirit and willingness to share are truly deserves respect.
