confusing immobiliser live data

Unread post by peyvey »

hello folks

Still my car wont start so i went into the immobiliser part of the BSI and the engine ECU with DIAGBOXSO and found something confusing.
In the BSI the key for hands free acces is recognised, I indeed can open and lock the car wuth my remote control key fob
But the key for HF acces and starting is not recognised. Yet when you look at all the other parameters everything is ok, also in
the engine ECU there are no problems
Can anyone tell me how that is possible? I still get the message on my thinkcar scantool

So I attach the read outs to this post along with that other message hoping someone can say something intelligent about it
I also would like to know if there are other reasons to prevent starting apart from the not recognition of the key

thank you peyvey

I'm afraid I have no idea about this but you could try reprogramming all your keys to the car and see if that corrects it. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Looks as if the immobiliser part of the key is not being recognised or possibly the receiver part near the lock is faulty. If you leave the key in the ignition lock and then open the driver's door do you get a warning, if not the key is not being recognised. This is separate to the remote unlocking the doors. However, your pdf notes suggest the immobiliser is recognised.
