EAT8 TCM removal
I am trying to get my Citroen K9 EAT8 gearbox in neutral so I can get it recovered. I have removed all three bolts on the TCM and disconnected the terminal block but it seems reluctant to lift off. Any thoughts appreciated!

There are a few videos about the EAT8 gearbox on this site which may help you: https://www.scegliauto.com/en/video/peu ... ial/98366/
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: EAT8 TCM removal
Just cracked it. Using a long pick tool or screwdriver, lever the connector clip to the right and pull the block to the left. You then have to undo the three bolts holding it to the gearbox housing. Next, VERY carefully, lever the TCM up a little at a time from several places. Underneath is a multi-pin electrical connector and you must be very careful, not to bend those pins. Remove the TCM and immediately cover the connector to protect it from the following step. To gain better access, remove the black airbox using a 10mm spanner to remove the bolt and lift it out. Some people suggest using a 6mm spanner on the exposed shaft head but mine wasn't 6mm! I used an adjustable spanner and using a bit of force, rotated the shaft a quarter turn to the right. You know when if happens by the big click!! If anyone would like to do a YouTube video on getting my K9 back on the road and the steps taken. Get in touch. Good luck!!
