Hello colleagues.
On the car in the description, I have a problem with the 6-speed manual gearbox, which remained stuck in gear 1. After I dismantled/reassembled the gear shifter, I tried to reset the gear adjustments in the gearbox and I think I forced the selector shaft on the gearbox, which remained stuck in gear 1. At the same time, the other gears engage normally, but at the same time gear 1 remains stuck/active.
How can I fix the problem without dismantling the gearbox? Can the driveshaft be dismantled to try to unlock 1st gear?
I mention that the car was flooded for a few days, it did not work for about 2 years and today I managed to start the engine after the piston segmentation. I found water in the gearbox and then oil flowed...now it has clean oil changed. I thought about letting the engine run for a few dozen minutes (with the wheels suspended), maybe it will unlock itself. Any advice, video clip, instructions would be of real use to me.
Thank you.

I'm not sure I follow this. If the gearbox is stuck in first gear how can you put it in other gears?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Yes, it goes into the other gears with the clutch disengaged, with the engine running. I left the clutch lightly in 2nd gear and it accelerated, and in 3rd gear it starts making a more abnormal noise and I didn't leave the clutch fully engaged. I haven't tried it in the other gears, except with the clutch disengaged and you can hear it going into gears, with the engine running or off. And I didn't specify, with the engine off it doesn't go into 1st gear, it feels like a blockage....

Right I misunderstood, so the first gear engages in the gearbox but doesn't disengage when you take the lever out and put it in second. I don't know the layout of your gearbox but it is fairly common for a gearbox to have two gears on each selector shaft so that may be 1 and 3 in your case so that shaft is sticking in first and hence you can't get third. So I think you may have an issue with one shaft or selector fork and it will almost certainly need looking inside to see what is happening!!

Is there any technical documentation about the ML6C gearbox (6-speed manual) I can find here, does anyone have it?

I would need all the documentation for the manual gearbox, disassembly/assembly, gears, gear selector... the problem is not in the shaft for gear 1 but in the gear selector.
From what I've seen, the gearbox can be removed (the gear wheel and selector part) on the car, without removing the gearbox from the engine. The gear part has a cover that can be removed towards the left wheel, but there must be a disassembly order...
Thank you in advance.
