Peugeot 5008 MK2 sunroof removal procedure

Hi dear forum members,

Does anyone have removal procedure for the sunroof on a Peugeot 5008 MK2?

I have rust building up under the paint nearly all the way along the gasket of the sunroof, so I need to get it removed so I can tackle the paint repair.

The procedure might be the same on a 3008 MK2.

If anyone has done anything similiar I would really appreciate any tips, apart from sell the car

The sunroof on my 5008 has a hatch and glass that's fixed behind the hatch. I need to take the whole cassette out togheter with the blind. I think it's all under the same assembly.

I wish it was just the hatch with a couple of screws, but it isn't.

I have same problem, rust around whole sunroof.
Did you fix it, or do you have instructions to remove sunroof?

Sorry, not yet, I am hoping someone will have the removal instructions or point me to where to get them from.

As an update. I have removed the headliner and the sunroof removal seems easy enough. A couple of connectors to unplug and a couple of bolts and it should just drop down.

I am now looking to see if I can source a replacement seal for the sunroof.

I have had rust forming around the outer seal and got the rust repaired and some sealant has been put inside the seal. Because the job hasn't been done properly, water is seeping through the seal and getting inside the cabin. I am currently looking to get a new seal but it's on back order with the dealer. I have been looking for the part online, I have asked a couple of breakers but I can't seem to find one.

The question is: is this sunroof (seal) the same of on other vehicles with the same sunroof, like the 3008, 408 or even some citroens?
