Looks like fun, Jim. Often ear ache is caused by the tooth ache, so hopefully now the tooth ache has been dealt with the ear ache will recede.

A busy day today...

Bluebell has been subject to a detailed pre-MoT check as she falls due in three weeks and I was keen to get her ready whilst I was still able.

All is good but I did have one concern. Low braking effort on one rear wheel and none on the other. Fortunately, it was all down to an exhausted servo. I started up the engine and hey-presto, all good again... Schoolboy error that!

She's now tucked up in the garage and won't move again until her date with the MoT tester...

I gave both my other cars a good check-over to ensure they're both good for at least the period I'll be off my feet.

I've also given the garden a thorough going-over and tidy-up for the same reason.

That was all after I had my covid and 'flu jabs. Fingers crossed I'll experience no significant side effects. All is currently good apart from slightly sore arms.

I am now ready for next week...

The covid and 'flu jabs fairly wiped me out yesterday. The entire day was a complete write-off. For the most part I lost the use of my arms...

Feeling a bit better this morning. A shame I 'lost' yesterday as I had plans but no worries, better a day lost to jabs than having the illnesses they protect against... It's telling the only time I've had either in recent times was the one year I did not have the jabs.

Go figure (as the Yanks might say)...

Both 'flu and covid are serious illnesses for me and it can take me months to fully recover from them.

Yesterday I processed a film. This was on it:

Autumn, at just over three, riding a zip line Not the most technically perfect as I quickly had to 'pan' as she flew along the wire and hope the servo autofocus would keep up... No time to compose, just click and hope!

I enjoyed a few rides on the wire too - when she would let me! It was huge fun

Once when I had my jabs the nurse said make your arms really floppy and it won't hurt , it worked . Not saying it might help you Jim but worth a try.
Ive spent the past 2 months scans scans and more scans, had my last mri today , the last couple of weeks nuclear medicine... that's an experience. Just been informed another hospital appointment this friday .next week consultations and flu and covid the following week , is it me or the older you get the more stuff gets in the way (ive been wanting to play with my 207) oh well. Hope your all good Jim I've been posting in the do you believe in ghosts thread , one a day.

It sounds a very similar journey to what I'm currently on Husky... Today sees me going down a similar path; scans and nuclear whilst tomorrow will be a day of surgery. I wish you all the very best in all what you're going through and may the prognosis be a good and positive one.

That's the worst part - in an out of hospital like a cuckoo in a cuckoo clock... With age, things seem to start falling to bits... Not unlike an old car...

I have to travel a long way for my treatment as our local hospital don't do what I'm having done... Really eats into playtime. My surgical aftercare will be in a hospital an hour away and several trips will be needed. And with me unable to drive for a while... Logistically, it's going to be fun...

All best with the jabs - a day at most lost to them but as said, better than loosing a life to what they protect against...

Hope all is getting back to normal soin for you my friend. I was told by a very young nurse at my surgery that takes bloods being tense causes the arm pain, when she does mine she makes sure your all calm and not up in the clouds I used to be really bad to get blood from id shout out all sorts like I'm being stabbed by Dracular's hence mob,this new nurse is great she's gentle kind takes her time, she then does the job I don't feel a thing , she's only 23 she's brilliant my wife always asks to have here to do her bloods and she says she's the best one ever she makes you feel at ease, even canula input she explained to me being all tense makes the muscle firm and the needle bruises it easily hence that horriblearm pain, when your relaxed it's the opposite. Now I'm not sure about a catheter though , thats a hard one ,seems since March this year I'm hearing and seeing lots of people having same appointments, then there's this B12 deficiency lots of people with this going on at the moment. Plus side the c3 sold last month I broke even on everything cost of car cost of repairs, so that's a plus for me , I'm waking in the nights more now with bile acid reflux which I've had scans for just waiting to see what the next step is , paying to go into the ulez zone is a joke £25 a week , per 2 appointments, plus fuel costs , roll on last appointment this friday (I hope) wife says we need a little break away for a few days to relax I said I can't that twit mayor of London is emptying my bank account.

Oh don't my wife freaked out when I explained to her about this medication then when your at the appointment there all asking about your diarea like it's talking about the weather ... you got to laugh if you dont your go mad

If it was not for the older people the NHS would be a lot smaller. We now seem to spend a lot of time at hospitals/doctors. Over the last 10 years I have been having blood tests every 6 or 3 months checking on prostate cancer and needing treatment for it as well as consequences from the treatment. I have found my right arm has a good vein and easy to get blood out but the left one hardly any. Do not mix up a catheter and a canula, you do not want to be dropping trousers when they only want an arm. When a catheter is pulled out I found the pain killing paracetamol given did not help.

Annoys me too, it'll be a Euro 5 Vs Euro 6 thing unfortunately: the 2010 with be Euro 5 and hence branded "evil diesel" but the 2015 I'd think was Euro 6 so all fine. Its the same with my wife's 308 SW= 2011, Euro 5 Vs the 2016 blue 308 SW which is Euro 6.
