Retrofit Cruise Control to 2011 Partner 1.6hdi

Hey All,
I am looking to retrofit Cruise control and speed limiter functions in my 2011 Partner Tepee S 1.6hdi 9HN, however I have seen some reports the in the UK the ecu on this engine model doesn't support it.
My Vin is:
VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Before ordering or installing anything I know to check:
1.That the instrument cluster shows the outline of the cruise control display.
2.That the plastic facia below the indicator stalk has the glossy plastic outline of where the cruise control stalk should go.
3.That the clutch switch has 2 wires and the break switch has 4 wires.

I have however heard that some ecu's that come with some of the 1.6hdi engines don't support cruise control and I wanted to know how I would go about checking this.

I have also heard some support cruise control only and other support both cruise control and speed limiter functions, how would I find out which I have and which stalk do I need.

Your best bet would be to go in with diagbox & see if the setting can be changed in the ECU. For speed limiter function you also need to have an accelerator pedal with a 'hard' spot.
My understanding is that you can use the dual CC & SL stalk even if you are only using the CC function.

Cool, I have already found a few replacement pedal listings on ebay so that's not a problem.

I'm more worried I'll go into diagbox and break something trying to check. Are you suggesting to try change the setting in the ECU before installing the parts or after? As I'd rather not buy the parts to find they are incompatible.
