DS5 hybrid 4 cranck but bo start

Unread post by peyvey »

Dear readers

I hope someone can help me with the trouble i'm having with a DS5 hybrid 4 200hp from 2014. It is the car from a friend of mine that i try to fix after the car was towed to my workshop.
Please take into account that i am not a professional i am just someone who is intereted in modern cars
this car has the ancilliary belt snapped and replaced three times in the short period it is in our posession. Evert time it looked as if the cut was made by a sharp knive. After the last repair all seemed ok
for a few thousend kilometer but then the engine died and nothing seemed to work anymore. It will crank but no start and also the electric motor won't come on
there are some foultcodes stored in the diagnose system namely: P0341 and P0215 The first is the absence of camshaft signal and the second is about poor powersupply of main powerrelais.
what is strange however is that the camshaftsensor does deliver a good signal on the scope. I have replaced it with a new sensor because i thought it was faulty.
the second weird thung i encountered is that the car when it is asleep so to say, still draws +- 2,5 amps out of the 12V batterie. That seems a little much to me and i could trace it down to a certain connector on the built-in systems interface (BSI)

Is there anyone who can say something meaningfull about this hard to understand case. Is 2,5 amp indeed to much and should i investigate that further (i don;t know what is normal with hybrids)
or should look into that signal from the camshaft does it mean that my ecu is broken

Thanks to anyone who can help me becoming wiser PEYVEY

The fact that the two fault codes are not necessarily related but they both refer to a loss of something suggests to me that you may have a problem with one of the ECU multiplugs. If it has had water ingress and resulted in corrosion, that could cause all sorts of odd effects, including additional battery drain when asleep. I'd remove, inspect and clean all the connectors in and around the ECU and possibly throughout the car. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

THank you for your respnse

I forgot to mention that the car suffered from rodent that were gathering nesting material tearing up isolation under the hood .
Maybe they gnawed at the wiring loom so i think i'm going to deinstall the main enginefusebox and look for damage/

Lots of places sell Anti-Marten spray, including Lidl.
Helps with other pests including rodents.
Only discovered this a couple of weeks ago.
Might be worth using once you have repaired the damage.

When i get this vehicle running i'm sure to use that spray. I've scanned the car again and now i've got a whole lot of dtc's and the one's in de BSI are most significant
I've added the scanresults concerning the BSI and i think the p1601 and U1F41 are most likely to cause all kinds of trouble
Appart from this there are some more faultcodes in other systems but i think they all derive from the ones in the BSI I have also added a wiring diagram of
the power supply management where i think the the fault comes from but i get confused when i see that the permanent powerd fuses and the cpc powered fuses are not
the same in both diagrams Maybe someone with some more experience can shed light on that. Both diagrams come from the same document called SEDRE

Does anyone know anything about this issue (the faultcodes or the diagrams ) I would be gratefull

theresults are in dutch, the P1601 speaks of malfunction of operation of the central powerswitch relais (+CPC)
U1F41 is in english
The rest is of less inportance i think but you can look them up if you want
Does anyone know what the central power swith relais and where it is located?
thanks peyvey
