p006d fault code

Unread post by blackkayak »

Hi,i really need some help here.Citroen jumpy 2012 diesel 128hp VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
1)DOSER NEW(failed plastic rod)
2)ECU CHANGED(after doser changed several codes insist appearing. My technician suggested to replace the ecu)
3)MAP SENSOR NEW
Engine light some times when i start the engine is OFF and the car works fine
sometimes when i start the engine, is ON
The code that the obd reads is p006d,and fails to remove it.
I think it may be a bad connection issue(becouse of the ON-OFF happenings).
Thank you in advance for any help!

Have a look at the attached link for a few ideas of things to check and also check the sensor plugs for clean undamaged connections. :)

update!!!
changed maf.
problem remains with 1 -2 more faul codes.
changed turbo solenoid valve.Measured it and it inticates 16 ohm.i think it should be 28-30 ohms.
now i still have the p006d fault code only.

The problem is fixxed!
it was the turbo solenoid valve?I think yes
BUT.
When i changed the solenoid valve, the fault code insisted!WHY? Becouse the map sensor that i changed previously was not correct even if the seller insisted it was ok.

9663480880 0 281 002 845 DW10 2.0 HDi (100–120 kW) – most Dispatch/Expert/406/807 10 → 250 kPa ~0.5 V

9675541980 0 281 006 059 (or sometimes Later 1.6 HDi / 2.2 HDi Euro 5 / 6 20 → 300 kPa ~0.5 V

the first is the correct map

the second is the one i was given as ok .

If you install 9675541980 (a 300 kPa sensor) on an ECU expecting 9663480880 (a 250 kPa sensor):

At atmospheric pressure (100 kPa), the sensor outputs lower voltage because it’s scaled for a wider range.

The ECU interprets that lower voltage as ~79 kPa, exactly what you’re seeing.

Result: P006D – Barometric/Turbo Inlet Pressure Correlation.

So, ECU’s internal BARO (100 kPa) and the MAP’s 79 kPa reading don’t match — not because of a fault, but because the MAP’s calibration is different.

once the old map was put in place (9663480880),everything cleared. No codes no nothing.
THe engines works as it should be!!!

thank you!
