Ooh a chip butty!! My mouths watering!! There was always a stack of buttered bread in the centre of the table especially when gravy was on your plate. I even remember as a kid taking the plates to the chippy, they'd dish it up and wrap the plate so when you got home you took the paper off, job done!

Jim and I are meeting for lunch at The Crown and Sceptre in Bryden's Camp near Hemel Hempstead next Thursday 22nd Jan at 12.30. I will book the table on Monday so anyone that would like to join us post by Sunday night and I'll know how many to book for.!!
