Issues with DPF regen

Unread post by Drotaru »

I am not sure if my car is regenerating the DPF , and untill i can reach a proper service center that has an original diagbox , i have a few questions if someone can help me

i got a OBD 2 bluetooth interface (vgate pro ) that i am using with the FAP app from the amazon store ( the one that works with Citroen and Peugeot )
the car has not had an active regeneration since almost 480km
these are the values that i get with the app right now:

Weight of soot in the FAP : 8.03 g/l
Deposits in FAP : 39 g
Cinder Count in FAP : 42 %
FAP presure is between 15mbar iddle and 60 at 2400rpm steady ( goes up to 160 when accelerating )

ar these values ok ? , should it have done a regen allready ? or is something preventing it ?

Car has about 200.000km

i also have an error stored in the sistem P2566
Car shows no issues and displays on warnings or faults on the dash

I'm afraid I don't have access to the Stellantis database at the moment so I cannot check those values for you. There are members with their own access and hopefully one of them will see your query and help you out. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Hello, Drotaru.
If you watch this video, you'll see that the values you're asking about are mostly fine, except for the Weight of soot, which should drop after regeneration. What does it say, what is the average of the last 10 regenerations?
For error P2566, the wastegate solenoid is probably faulty.
I would start with him and replace him.

What are the issues with the car when driving? If there's no issues then don't fix what isn't broken, that could open a can of worms. If you do alot of city driving then it won't get upto temperature to do a regen. It needs a good blast down the motorway, accelerate hard, change gears late to really raise the temperature and then it should regen. DPFs aren't really designed for 'eco' driving.

I have now replaced the solenoid that comands the turbo, error still shows up ,

My problem is the fact that the car has not regenerated in 650km , is that normal ? Got weight of soot 11g/l right now, should it not have regenerated already ?

If city/town driving then no. It needs HEAT, city/town driving wont raise the temperature enough for a regen. It needs a good thrashing, late gear changes etc down a motorway, drive it like you stole it!!!!! I have to do it to mine at least every 6 months and she's nearly 20yrs old! Works every time.
