Hi!
I'm in the middle of doing the timing belt on a 2009 C5 X7 RFJ / EW10 2.0 petrol engine (103kW). Everything went well until I got to the water pump. The easiest solution seems to be separating the two halves of the pump and using only the impeller part of the pump. Easier said than done. Unfortunately the bolts are seized so the whole assembly has to come out. But getting to the bolts is kind of difficult because the driveshaft is in the way. Is it standard procedure to remove the driveshaft?
Will the AL4 gearbox hold oil when the driveshaft ise removed?

Husky.
Thinking outside of the box is better than sitting in a dark one.

Thanks, but nope. That's a completely different engine.

So... it is actually accessible! Can't really see anything but fortunately the bolts came loose nicely with the help of some extensions and a universal joint.
