Hello everyone,
I have a 2.0 diesel, 2015 DS 5, with a shot outer CV joint on the driver side front. I have tried numerous places trying to get a CV joint with absolutely no luck.. why is it so hard to source one?
I managed to order one using my reg plate but it’s the wrong size (euro car parts).
Can anyone recommend anywhere I can purchase one?

I would suggest you try Autodoc, while not being the fastest to deliver as far as I am aware they usually get it right!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Struggling to source part
Some vehicles have drive shafts with integral CV joints. These can't be replaced separately and the whole drive shaft has to be replaced.

How about J AND R CV Joints
I know they seem suspiciously cheap, but I put one one on my 307 and it was OK. And anyway at that price if it only lasts 30k who cares?

I tried J and R, they just told me to look online, which showed they don’t stock them. I messaged them back and they were quite blunt.RichardW wrote: 03 Sep 2025, 08:13 How about J AND R CV Joints

I have used Autodoc a couple of times for exhaust repair brackets for the Cactus and delivery was around 1 week since they are based in Germany despite having a .uk website. Last one was a couple of weeks ago and they used Evri for the delivery.

Yep, always expect at least a week for delivery from AUTODOC.
I would have suggested J and R driveshafts as well - have had a couple of shafts from them and both good quality.
If they don’t stock just the CV joint, check the price for a whole shaft, you might be surprised at how affordable?

Re: Struggling to source part
So, a little update..
Auto doc stock a different variant to what I need. Diameter of my cv body is around 95mm and they only stock one that is 110mm and 5 mm shorter.
J & R don’t stock my variant at all.
The Citroen main dealer (fish brothers) didn’t get back to me. I will try them again today.
Have I got a prototype DS5
! It shouldn’t be this difficult to source a part surely

If your local dealer isn't helping you with parts, you could call one of the Stellantis & You (I hate that ridiculous name...) central parts hubs.
https://www.stellantisandyou.co.uk/parts/distrigo-hubs
That's who I have to ring, ever since the local Citroen/Peugeot dealers completely did away with any parts department (or even local parts stock!).
