C5 X7 multifunction display for climate control?
I recently bought. 2009 VTR+ Tourer with 2.0 HDI engine. The multifunction radio display barely showed anything, so I have now bought a remanufactured unit. The display is brilliant and everything scrolls and works as it should, except that the Aircon shows only the seat icon and 22 /22.. The climate control.itself works fine but nothing seems to be connected to the multifunction display. 1). Is it that my car version never was intended to duplicate the settings on the multifunction screen and this is a dormant feature or 2) that the screen or car needs programming somehow? When I scroll through the menu it shows the icon for air-conditioning on the new multifunction display and within that are two lines, one asking whether I want to cut off the A/c and the other whether I want to deactivate the L/R settings. When I click on either option the screen just return to original menu. Any thoughts, anybody?

Just so I'm clear, do you mean you have a temp display on the main radio screen or the temp display next to the adjustment knobs isn't working? If the former, then you've bought the wrong MFD. No version of the X7 had temperature display on the radio screen from what I know.

[The temperature shows okay on the actual climate control unit. On the replacement radio display I can see radio stations, outside temperature, clock, etc, but the screen is dominated by heating settings which don't change when you use the climate control knobs. There is the stick man icon and 22 degrees showing twice. Clearly it is meant to show the same settings as the climate control, but doesn't!

Sounds like the display is configured for a car with a different set up and needs configuring correctly for your car.
Did you buy one that came from exactly the same vehicle and spec, or did it come from a different one (e.g. Peugeot 508)?

Re: C5 X7 multifunction display for climate control?
In that case you've bought the wrong display. Likely one from a Peugeot as Iain said. The correct screen would be one like this. I actually ordered one from that very seller for the RD45 conversion in my 2L X7 and can confirm that it works. Correct display type and it supports Bluetooth if you choose to upgrade to an RD45 in the future.

Thanks Rob. Display very different to mine so will look for exactly the same one when funds permit. In the meantime the one I've bought does enough to be useful.
